CURRENT PROJECT ~~ A LIBRARY PARK
Construction of a library park adjacent to the west entrance of the Main Library in Tillamook is the current Foundation project. Tillamook County Library Foundation, using earnings from its endowment and residual building fund money, purchased the land. Architectural drawings based on public input include a performance stage, a water feature, bronze artwork, and areas for children, library programs and community gatherings.
A Park Work Group was formed in April 2018 with a vision of creating this oasis to serve as an outdoor space for the community, a venue for music and theater, and as a unique place that invites relaxation and flights of imagination for the people of Tillamook County. The Work Group envisions the Library Park as a community project with Tillamook County craftsmen building the park--from the architectural design inspired by public input to site clearing, utilities, concrete work, structure construction, and landscaping.

Funds to build the Park will come from Foundation endowment earnings, private donations, fundraising and grants.
You can own a piece of the park. Deeds can be purchased for only $5 per square foot plot. A limited number of deeds are available. PLOT DEEDS are sold only at Tillamook Main Library.
STATUARY TO ENHANCE LIBRARY PARK
Three pieces of cast bronze statuary destined for the Library Park are on display at the Main Library Branch. The Book Bench is located at the Third Street entrance, Reading Frog can be found in the entrance lobby and Dancing Children dance in the checkout lobby
The Tillamook County Library Foundation paid for Book Bench. A local family purchased Reading Frog in memory of several family members who were ardent supporters of the library. Dancing Children was purchased through a combination of Foundation funds, fundraisers, and two grants. The Tillamook County Cultural Coalition (TCCC) awarded the Foundation a grant of $1000. The Oregon Cultural Trust is the primary funder of the grant through a sub-grant to the TCCC. The Tillamook Revitalization Association (TRA) also awarded the Foundation a grant of $1000. The TRA is a local non-profit dedicated to the support of projects aimed at revitalizing the City of Tillamook.
