Centrally located in beautiful downtown Tillamook, the Library Bookstore is adjacent to the entry doors of the Tillamook Main Branch and has been in operation since the library opened in 2006.
Everything offered for sale is either a donation or library discard. Print books, audio books, music, movies and youth and children's books are available. Book subjects include – gardening, westerns, war and military, sports, health, animals, inspiration, romance, mysteries, travel, language, cookbooks, crafts, science fiction, oldies but goodies, deep thoughts, fiction and non-fiction, Bibles, magazines, large-print … a veritable potpourri of choices. Books range in price from free to $6.
A special center display that has proven very popular over the years offers customers one free book each day with others books in this display for sale at a nominal 10 cents each.
For book lovers short on cash, layaway is available. Books are held for one week.
Children are offered a chance to create their own free bookmark.
Two display cabinets in the entry lobby feature special authors or subjects plus treasures looking for a new home and a positive thought for the week.
Our wonderful volunteers (one gentleman and many ladies) welcome book lovers from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday and are happy to answer questions. If you would like to learn more about volunteering, please ask when you visit the Bookstore.
